Book: Old Bear

A bear lays down to hibernate
His mind begins to ruminate
The seasons come and seasons go
From fresh spring days to cold winter snow

Awakened at last from his needed slumber
He stretches his paws then starts to lumber
Out of his den within a tree
His dreams are now reality

Note: The leaves in our neighborhood have already started to change and fall – oh, boy, can’t wait for the giant maple in the backyard to shed everything onto our deck…uh huh!

‘ Old Bear feels like a gentle bear retreat meditation, making it perfect for introducing the concept of seasons. Who wouldn’t love a cuddly brown bear settling in for a long nap while he dreams of the seasons changing? (Though I’ve never seen blueberries fall from the sky in summer….maybe I’m living in the wrong town.)
