Note: Some things just belong together.

Todd Parr’s celebration of adoption is a great way to introduce the concept to younger kiddos. His technicolor drawings hold their attention – we once read this book 5 times in a row – and the diversity of families (single dads, moms, gay and lesbian couples, and multi-colored* couples) make it perfect for any family composition.

It’s a pretty simple message – there are many ways to make a family.

All you need is love.

(*can’t really say “multi-ethnic” since I’ve never seen anyone with a lime green face)
